A native of New York State, Kristi Lockwood has been a freelance writer and photographer of the natural Eastern Region for the past few years. In addition to the website gallery, many of her photographs have appeared in various websites. Kristi primarily concentrates her efforts in New York, the Finger Lakes Region and the East Coast.

A graduate of the Finger Lakes Community College and Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, where she studied Business Administration and Funeral Arts & Science, Kristi spent many years as a funeral director before turning to nature photography as a serious hobby. Her love of the outdoors and devotion to the lakes of New York stems from a love of hiking and camping throughout the East coast. For creative inspiration, she draws on her childhood backyard of The Hudson Valley and the Catskills.
